Activating Your Discover Card
- Online Activation: Visit the Discover Card activation page [1]. Enter the required information, such as your card number, expiration date, and the 3-digit sequence ID number located on the back of your card after the letter ‘A’. Follow the prompts to complete the activation process.
- Phone Activation: You can also activate your card by calling the number printed on the sticker attached to the front of your card[2]. Provide the necessary information, such as your date of birth, last four digits of your Social Security number, and the information printed on your card to verify your identity.
Logging In to Your Discover Card Account
- Online Account Access: Visit the Discover Card Account Center [3]. Enter your User ID and Password, then click “Log In.” If you haven’t registered for an online account, click “Register Your Account” and follow the prompts to create your account.
- Discover Mobile App: Download the Discover Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play [4]. Log in using your Discover Card account credentials. The app allows you to manage your account, make payments, track rewards, set up alerts, and more.
Managing Your Discover Card Account
- View Account Activity: Log in to your account online or through the mobile app to view recent transactions, search transactions, tag transactions, view statements, and check balance transfer offers[4].
- Make Payments: You can make payments through the Discover Mobile App or the online Account Center. Additionally, you can set up automatic payments or pay by phone by calling Discover’s customer service at 1-800-347-7000[5].
- Track Rewards: Use the Discover Mobile App or the online Account Center to track your rewards, such as cashback offers and other promotions[6].
- Manage Security Features: Discover offers various security features, such as Online Privacy Protection, Social Security Number Alerts, Fraud Protection, and the Freeze it® feature[6]. You can manage these features through the Discover Mobile App or the online Account Center.
- Monitor Your Credit Score: Discover provides cardmembers with free access to their FICO® Credit Score[7]. You can view your credit score and important details that help make up your score through the Discover Mobile App or the online Account Center.
