I asked myself, “how do i program my Xfinity remote to my tv?” And, after researching the topic, it turns out their are a few different ways to do it. In this article, you’ll learn how to pair your Xfinity remote to different devices.
To program your Xfinity Remote to a TV or Audio device, go to the Xfinity Online Remote Site and select your remote.
Once you choose your remote, click continue. On the next page, you have to choose your device type and brand.
In this example, I selected TV as the device. Then, I selected LG as the brand.
Once done, click continue. On the next page you see a guide on how to program your remote.
For example, to pair the XR2 to an LG TV, you must:
- Turn on the TV you are programming.
- Press and hold the “Setup” button on your remote until the status LED changes from red to green.
- Type in the 4-digit or 5-digit code listed below using the number buttons. Additional codes may be found in the remote manual. Most likely code: 10178
- Others codes to try: 11178, 11265, 11637, 10037, 11993, 11934, 11756, 11530, 10856, 10700, 10442, 10017, 11314, 11032, 11758, 10016, 10032
- If the code is entered correctly, the status LED will blink green twice. If the status LED blinks red, then the code was not entered correctly. Check that you are entering the correct code and try again.
- Use the remote to operate your TV (use Power, VOL, etc.)
- If these steps don’t work, try another 4-digit or 5-digit code and repeat the above.
